Terms and conditions
Last updated: 11 August 2026
These terms govern your use of the get-it-done prototype. By using the service, you agree to these terms.
1. About get-it-done
get-it-done is an introduction platform that lets customers describe work and lets tradies express interest by sending their business details. Customers decide which tradies to contact and request quotes from. We do not perform trade work, employ tradies, act as an agent for either party, or become a party to agreements made between users.
2. Eligibility and access
You must be legally able to enter a binding agreement and provide accurate, current information. Tradies are responsible for maintaining any licences, registrations, insurance and qualifications required for the work they offer.
3. Job posts and responses
Customers must describe jobs honestly and avoid including sensitive information that is not needed at the posting stage. During a customer-selected contact window, a tradie may spend one credit in a single action that sends an immutable profile snapshot and permanent get-it-done ID to the customer and unlocks the customer’s phone and email for that tradie. The full address remains private until the customer shares it.
4. Your checks and decisions
get-it-done does not verify or endorse users, identity, licences, credentials, insurance, workmanship or quotes. Customers should use the permanent get-it-done ID to identify a tradie, including when a call arrives from another number, and decide who receives their full address and who gets the job. Users should make their own enquiries and checks before sharing information, attending a property or agreeing to work.
5. Quotes, work and payment
Any quote, scope, timing, price, payment arrangement, warranty or other work term is agreed directly between the customer and tradie. Each party is responsible for recording their agreement and meeting their own tax, licensing, safety and legal obligations.
6. Acceptable use
You must not use the service to:
- post unlawful, unsafe, deceptive or discriminatory content;
- misrepresent your identity, experience or authority;
- harass users, send unrelated marketing or misuse contact details;
- interfere with the service or attempt unauthorised access; or
- infringe another person’s privacy or intellectual property rights.
7. Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You give get-it-done a non-exclusive licence to host, display and process that content only as reasonably required to operate, secure and improve the service.
8. Privacy
Personal information should be handled in accordance with the applicable privacy notice and Australian privacy law. The service stores account, job, contact and introduction information on its server. Closing the tab does not delete submitted records. Email providers deliver sign-in codes and introduction messages. Location search sends the text you type to Google through our server; you can search by full address, but only the Australian suburb, state and postcode you confirm are stored as the job location and shown to tradies. Tradies can save a private office address for nearby search. Optional device coordinates are sent to our server for distance filtering. They are not sent to Google or saved as part of a job. Contact details are available through the introduction flow described above.
Location suggestions use Google Maps, subject to Google Maps terms and Google’s privacy policy.
9. Service availability and changes
We may change, suspend or discontinue prototype features. We will take reasonable care but do not promise uninterrupted, error-free or continuously available access.
10. Consumer rights
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies a guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law.
11. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, get-it-done is not responsible for work performed by users, quotes or agreements between users, property access, payment disputes, user conduct, or loss arising from information supplied by another user. Any limitation applies only to the extent it is fair, reasonable and legally enforceable.
12. Suspension and termination
Access may be limited or removed where reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, address misuse or maintain the service. You may stop using the service at any time.
13. Changes to these terms
If these terms materially change after launch, the updated version and effective date should be displayed clearly. Continued use after reasonable notice may constitute acceptance where permitted by law.
14. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and applicable Commonwealth laws. Operator and legal contact details must be added before production launch.
